                        How to help

                        Schools
If you would like your school to be involved with the work of The Lunchbowl Network then please email info@lunchbowl.org

The charity has a number of school ambassadors who give engaging and stimulating assemblies. There is also a school pack containing sample lessons for KS1 and KS2, photos and a DVD to enable UK school children to give with understanding.

Schools engage with the charity in a variety of ways; harvests, sponsored workouts, Have a heart for Kibera. Collection envelopes are provided and every school receives a personal hand-made hand print thank you poster from the orphans.

Giving regularly to The Lunchbowl Network

There is a great need for consistent regular giving and we welcome regular giving to help fund the food programme for the orphaned and vulnerable children in the Kibera.

The charity will update you at least once a year with details of how your donation has made a difference.

Any amount is welcomed…. £10 a month in effect will provide 30 hot dinners.

                        Rescue Programme for Teenage Girls
Abuse of teenage girls in the Kibera is extremely frequent.

50% of girls aged 16 to 25 years become pregnant in the Kibera. Often this is the result of abuse. Many girls abort the babies at high risk to their own health. Currently we have rescued 17 girls from the Kibera who are now safely boarding at schools. They have been given hope and the potential to fulfil their dreams in a safe environment. We have countless more girls also needing to be rescued from the Kibera.

£40 a month provides school fees, food, transport and school uniform.   If you would like to rescue one of the girls or help fund the dinner programme…..
